local live music and open-mic events. We seek to promote digital independence, so you have absolute control
of your data. We won't track your online activities, read your devices, or try to upload your files.
Instead, we'll develop software to help members to bring ideas to life and promote them to the global community.
We'll provide content about how AI & other technologies impact our lives in ways we may not realize.

I built this app by myself on a shoe-string budget. This is the beta test version. There may be hiccups.

Welcome to Global Open-Mic. Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm E J Xela.
I've been a professional large-enterprise system's analyst, software engineer & database developer, for 30 years.
I also love open-mic events and live music. I hope to combine my two favorite things through Global Open-Mic, (GOM).
My son is my partner on this journey. He is an autistic man with no ability for language. We hope to raise
awareness about the lives of severely autistic adults, their challenges and their courage.
On Global Open-Mic.com, there will not be any AI & corporate big-data bots dropping cookies on your device, tracking your web history,
or trying to upload your entire hard drive while you go through a laborious and intrusive sign-up process, in which they gather every
piece personally identifiable data about you. Also, there are no targeted pop-up ads or surveys to distract you and waste your time.
Global Open-Mic Members have absolute control over what they see. The Global Cafe' feed is the default view you'll see when you logon to
Global Open-Mic. There, you'll see everyone's daily blog. From there you can switch to your feed, where there are easy-to-use search tools to find
your friends and fellow members. You can also block what you don't want to see on your view of the Global feed. There is also a "Member Talk"
chat, so you can contact and talk with other members. You choose whom you will and won't pursue or accept contact with.
If you have any problems, I'll provide technical support. There is one "quid-pro-quo". If the app becomes an overnight sensation with a
million users, (in my dreams, LMAO), there may be a SLIGHT hiccup, whilst I scramble to find reliable help, partners, etc.,
or do whatever I have to do to in order to keep the lights on. Also, I have to earn a living and do family and household stuff.
I will publish the Administrator's Journal regularly, just a few lines, to keep you updated on GOM news and development progress.
Tech support is available inside the app, via Support Talk. Support Talk is a chat program specifically designed to put support requests into
a queue. Checking requests is on my to-do list every morning. I will respond. If GOM takes off, another human will. :-) If you can't log in, there's
an email address on the external site where you can reach us. For now, it's "[email protected]".
Once logged in, you'll be able to save audio, image and video files on the Global Open-Mic server, in most common file formats. Your
contacts can view or listen to any content you provide, without unsolicited ads or scammers flooding your feed and interrupting your life.
Goind forward, Global Open Mic also will provide content to help inform Internet users about how AI and Big Data are used daily
by large corporations and national governments to steer us into unnecessarily using our time and resources to benefit them, as opposed to
ourselves. We'll provide insight into how their activities are impacting you and your business.
It's an incredible world we live in. Even so, many people are isolated from others in this age of the Internet.
GOM seeks to provide an outlet for you to protomte your local Open Mic & live music events, farmers markets and all manor of organized
community market & social events, so we can all get out and participate in real life, as opposed to being channeled into corporate conformity.
Our market places are our human heritage. Through them, our civilization grew. They're the place we find harmony with one another and are where
we most often celebrate together as a community. Let's not go quietly into this good night. Let's speak to each other, feed each other,
entertain each other, and together, face the consequences of the truth we tell.
